About Us

My passion for coffee began during my career as an airline pilot, traveling the world and exploring coffee shops in every corner of the globe. Each layover became an opportunity to experience different coffee cultures—some steeped in centuries-old traditions, others pushing the boundaries of innovation. I became fascinated by how coffee connects people across time and place, and how the evolving specialty scene builds on the foundation of the past.

Having traveled extensively, I came to realize that the United States—and especially New York City—deserve better coffee. Coffee is one of the most complex beverages in the world, yet it is often undervalued and underappreciated. I wanted to change that, sharing its depth, history, and future potential with more people.
